Pregnancy. . .so far

So I've learned a lot from being pregnant. One thing in particular that I’m learning is that more things can and will happen to you besides feeling sick and your tummy slowly growing. There are a number of other symptoms that may or may not happen to you.

I had what I think should just be referred to as pregnancy sickness, because "morning" doesn't begin to cover it for some of us ladies. I had All Day Sickness you could say, up until about week 17 or so. It doesn't go away right after the first trimester for everyone. (Kudos to my Friend Analeis who had it her whole pregnancy. I bow my head to you.) But now that it has finally subsided, my life is so much better, and therefore Dan's is too :) No throwing up all the time or being insanely picky about what food I would eat, or allow to be around me because of the smell. Though, I still won't eat chicken yet. I like turkey though, weird I know, but they're different...some how.

Speaking of food and pregnancy symptoms...well I guess I should start off by stating for those of you that don't know it, but I LOVE MILK!!!! I buy two gallons a week which is mostly drunk by myself. If I had to choose between having the beef of a cow or saving the cow to have its milk...it's gotta be the milk option! But apparently pregnancy can cause you to become Lactose Intolerant. No more milk for me :( The most sad thing ever! Now I have to drink Lactose free milk as a substitute or I'll get sick and throw up. But I’ve learned that Lactose free milk is just regular milk that they’ve added an enzyme to, to break down the lactose sugar into simpler ones. So it’s exactly the same nutritionally, it just tastes a tad sweeter. The Lactose Free milk isn't too bad (way better than Russian milk), but I miss Ice cream so much!!!

And forget about spit clothes for the baby, I need one for myself. I didn't know this till now, but it's not unusual to have extreme excess saliva during a portion of pregnancy either. So much excess saliva that you feel like you have to spit all the time. Being a girl I used to really stink at spitting, but I'm actually getting pretty good at it now. I'm still no guy, but I've gotta find a silver lining in here somewhere, cause other wise it's just kinda gross and pretty weird that I have to spit all the time.

In addition, my tailbone hates me. That's all I have to say. It hurts when I sit down and when I get up, which happens a lot more than you would think. You realize this when your tailbone kills every time you do it. I'm pretty sure it's from the pregnancy, and hopefully someday I'll be able to sit down or up with out have to moan.

When Dan got home from his mission something was different. He could fall asleep on que it seemed. He wasn't like that before, but after we got married I quickly became jealous of how fast how can fall asleep. I'm realizing that my time has come. Pregnancy has blessed me too now with the gift to swiftly fall asleep. It's wonderful. Something we're both sure to need when the our baby is here and we'll be getting up through out the night for many years to come.

Onto another cool one, I'm starting to feel our little boy moving around in there which is so cool and fun! It's pretty crazy to have that sensation of being touched, but it's inside you.

Now onto a belly bump picture...Me at 19 weeks

Oh, and I almost forgot one of the best things that happens when you're pregnant. You're sweet and wonderful husband constantly stares at you all the time and tells you how gorgeous you are, making you feel so beautiful no matter how big your starting to feel. I love you Dan ♥

You are just looking so cute and little! I am glad that the majority of you morning sickness is over. As far as you tail bone goes, you could probably get some relief with an adjustment or massage. . .or both :)
miss ya

So darling, I'm missing you already! And I'm not even gone yet.
The day I got pregnant with Ryanna (nearly 8 years ago) I couldn't digest milk either. I totally feel you. It gets a little easier though afterwards, so you shall love ice cream again!
