Oy Vey! For lack of a better title

The biggest mistake Dan and I have made during our time here in moscow is not a mystery. Not moving out of this apartment when we were about to right before Gus was born, was our biggest mistake. Why was this a mistake you might ask? Well, during their first year living above us, our neighbors played loud music with A LOT of bass on a daily basis, snored so loud I could hear it and wanted to shoot myself each night from irritation, serenaded us with peeing off the balchony on several occasions, and littered out back yard with their garbage and cigarrete butts. Those are just the major things.
Maybe it was just us, but we found this daily activity oppressive over time. We wrote our land lords an ultimatum letter, after phone calls to them brought no results. Things improved, for a bit. But by the time Gus was about to come the music had recommenced, and was louder than before. We also needed to have laundry available for the added laundry that Gus would create. So we told them we'd be moving. In return our landlords guilted us and then smooshed us into staying if they put in a washer and dryer.

And now we find ourselves still here, still with a problem. The music is so loud during the day and around Gus's bedtime that it wakes him up, or keeps him from falling alseep. I bumped into our land lord a week ago and brought it up again, and yet today it was so grotesquely loud that I had had enough when it woke Gus up that I called and left a very direct message (for me that is, I hate confrontation) that this isn't working and something has to be done, and then I called the Police. The Police talked to them (or her rather as is it just one middle aged woman now). What happened? It was quiet for a couple hours, followed by EXTREMLY loud TV for an hour from 9-10 pm, loud stomping from 10-10:15 pm, a very loud song at 10:20 pm, and Vacuuming at 10:25 pm. Retaliation or what! But, what did I expect? They say its a sign of a crazy person to try the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result.
What can I do? I'm ready to find a place, any place that rents month to month and move there for the next two months till we move up to CD'A at the end of May. I'm looking into it first thing tomorrow. Oy Vey
